This tour is combination of Food tour, Photo shooting tour, and possibly drinking tour. We will meet up at Ueno station Shinobazu gate at 19:00, then walk to Ameyoko food street which takes about 5 minutes. We will grab some bites of street food, and I will shoot pictures of you eating. I will ask you to pose at some spots, too. I will shoot with single-lens reflex camera (Canon EOS), and after the tour I will photoshop the pictures to make them more beautiful (I know you already are!), and I will email them to you within a week. You can upload to Instagram (tag me when you do that!), make it your PC wallpaper, spam to the world, or you can do anything you want with pictures! I cannot write all the food we will be trying because some shops might be closed on your tour day, but we will be trying Korokke, Yakitori, Taiyaki, and Takoyaki. After getting full we can sit and drink.(After grabbing street bites we will share the bill.)
I once was a backpacker for 8 months mainly in South America and Antarctica. While backpacking I always found difficulties to find the "right" local restaurant because truly good restaurants aren't always on website, so if you don't know any local people, and don't speak the language, it's very hard to find nice local food. Back in Japan, I thought of what I could do with my passion for food, camera, and familiarity with Ueno area. I'm familiar with Ueno because I used to hang out almost every weekend when I was in university, so I know good spots to eat and to take beautiful photos at night! You will never be disappointed with my tour, so please book this tour and see how we go!
There are about 400 shops not only food but also daily products and other daily services. First we will start from juicy dumplings. Then we go to korokke and yakitori shop. This shop is so famous that so many tv and magazine crews visited. The third is takoyaki. For desert we will enjoy Taiyaki and maccha softcream!
