First we will stretch out the major muscle groups that are most compromised from sitting for long periods of time in a car, plane, or train (however you got here!). Then, i'll lead you through a series of twisting and compression poses to flush out the toxins accumulated from travel. Throughout the class, we'll use a variety of yoga poses, myofacial release techniques, therapy ball rolling, and self-acupressure to truly achieve a deep healing and rejuvenating experience. We will end with a blissful meditation and savasana. After the practice, we'll soak up the rays on the beach and sip on a special blend of herbal iced tea cultivated locally in San Diego. The tea will include herbs specifically for combating the effects of travel. I'll also share my herbal knowledge, and give you tips about how to use plant and nutritional medicine for you next big trip.
I’m a yoga instructor & clinical herbalist who helps everyday people take health maintenance and protection into their own hands through fun classes and clever workshops. I’m certified at the 500hr level in vinyasa flow, forrest yoga, yin yoga, and yoga tune up. I have 4 years of experience studying herbal medicine, and 2 years of clinical practice. I've also spent 3 years as a volunteer farmer, and I deeply believe in the healing powers of nature - I offer my workshops and classes outdoors when ever possible.
