Historic downtown Saluda is just one block from our guest apartment which is nestled in a garden setting in a pleasant neighborhood. Our location provides easy access to the town's shops and restaurants and to many activities and experiences in and around Saluda.
*** To provide our guests comfort of mind at this time, we comply with all CDC guidelines, do thorough cleaning as expected, and have a 3 to 4 day spacing between stays.

Guests are greeted on arrival at the garden gate. The garden, which fills the grounds, has been designated a National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat. Both the garden and the suite are smoke-free settings. The suite, ideal for one or two adults, includes sitting, dining, and sleeping areas, a fully equipped galley kitchen, and a bath. Coffees, cream, teas and sweeteners are provided. All linens are included. Guests have Wifi access and cable television. Also, central heating and air conditioning are included for comfort.
The bay window in the sitting area offers not only a fine view of the garden but also an opportunity to watch the several species of birds that come to the feeder and ones that feed on the ground. Guests can also spend time in the swing just outside their door, on a garden bench under the canopy of a two hundred year old chestnut oak, and in other sitting areas in the garden.
A special feature of a stay in the suite is being wakened on a Sunday morning by the bell of the historic nineteenth century Episcopal Church next door. With Saluda's restaurants and shops just a block away (but a world away), guests can easily enjoy time on Main Street. And, when they want to venture further, they can follow the self-guided walks in town and in the countryside and the self-guided drives in the surrounding area--guides created specifically for our guests.
In addition, guests will find that our location provides easy access to experiences in the surrounding area. Our bigger setting includes a wide range of hiking trails; biking routes; zip-lining ("The Gorge" zip line right here in Saluda!); water sports on the Green River--kayaking, rafting, tubing; music and visual arts experiences; performances at the Flat Rock Playhouse; visits to historic places such as Biltmore House and the Carl Sandburg Home; equestrian events including ones held at the Tryon Equestrian Center; winery and brewery tours; the Blue Ridge Parkway; and so much more.

The suite is a private setting for guests. They are given a key on arrival. The guest parking space, which accommodates one vehicle, is just a few steps from the suite's private entrance. While persons with slight mobility issues would probably find access to the suite and the suite's physical setup suitable, persons with other mobility issues would want to be aware that there are steps up from the parking space and that the bathroom is not designed to be handicap accessible (no safety bars, etc.).

Our location is ideal for guests to thoroughly enjoy all that Saluda and the area have to offer. Close at hand are our immediate neighborhood which is excellent for walking and jogging, the downtown shops and restaurants with live music on weekends, our concerts in the park and tailgate market during the warmer months, annual town events such as the arts festival and Hometown Christmas, and such places as our town's park and the railroad museum. In addition, zip lining, hiking, and water sports opportunities are close by.
