Bambra Reef Lodge is a relaxing fully equipped beach side holiday home and is a great base to explore S.E. Tasmania. It is well back from the main road and only 50 metres walk to a sandy beach. There is a solar heated pool which is great in the summer, a pool table in a separate games room, and a playground for kids. It is 15 mins to airport and 25 drive to the centre of Hobart. The grounds are spacious and there is ample parking. There is also a private outdoor under cover barbeque area.

Bambra Reef Lodge is a comfortable 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 2 toilet semi-detached holiday house. It has open plan kitchen/living/dining room which overlooks and opens onto a paved fenced area enclosing a solar heated swimming pool. Bedroom 1 has 2 single beds, bedroom 2 has a queen sized bed, bedroom 3 has 2 singles and a pull out trundle bed. There is a laundry with a large washing machine, a clothes rack and an outside washing line. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery, utensils, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer, pots and pans, a slow cooker and electric beaters. Some toys and games are provided as well as a large range of books for all ages. There is a high chair available and a port-a-cot can be set up on request.

Outside is a private undercover eating area and barbeque for sole use of the guests. There is shared use of the pool , spacious garden, trampoline, play ground and gravel tennis court. The chook pen near the Lodge is an added attraction for children! Arrangements can be made for access to a separate games room which has a 3/4 sized pool table. The waterfront property is set well back from the street with plenty of parking and is only a 100 metre walk to a family friendly beach. Great for beach walks, swimming, snorkling, watching the sunrise. There is play equipment for children to take to the beach on request.

Lauderdale originated as a seaside holiday village and is now populated by permanent residents. A wide variety of good quality food is available in local shops. Lauderdale has a bakery, church, petrol stations, restaurants, take-aways, hairdressers, a Doctor's surgery, chemist and a tavern. A Woolworth's Supermarket is 15 minutes away. Hobart's closest surfing beach (Clifton Beach) is 15 minutes drive and there are many other beautiful beaches and picnic spots in the area. Golf enthusiasts will have a number of courses to choose from. Ralph's Bay Conservation Area is a popular spot for bird watchers and wind surfers.

We (Geoff and Julie) have a grown up family and grandchildren and live in southern Tasmania. We realise the importance of family holidays and the memories they create. Our aim is to provide a home away from home for travellers and give them a relaxing environment to use as a base for exploring this part of Tasmania. Bambra Reef Lodge is semi-detached and the owners (hosts Geoff and Julie) live next door. Entry to the Lodge is private and it is possible to stay in the Lodge with minimal interaction with the hosts if that is desired. However we are available to render any assistance that is needed.
