Our bright, open flat invites morning dips in Skickla Lake, yet is only 10 min by bus from the heart of the city and a stroll from the nature reserve. The kitchen belongs to foodies, balcony to urban gardeners and a steaming cup of coffee, bookshelves to world-roaming polyglots...

Our home is newly-built, with an open floor plan and big windows to let in the summer light (and yes, as it is Sweden, the winter dark too!). We think it's ideal for an individual, couple or family (4 max - for comfort) who, like us, get really quite tired of hotels and want to be in the city but needn't be within walking (and hearing...) distance of the Central station or wildest night life. There is a larger master bedroom that sleeps 2. Our daughter's room has a single bed and a child's bed (which can be removed on request for longer stays). In the living room, there is a very large sofa for which we can also provide bedding.
It's a 1 min. walk to the bus stop towards the city centre; when you come back, it's a few steps more, 4-5 min. Buses run every 5 min. during rush hour, and every 15-20 during holidays and weekends. It's a short walk to other stops including to a train to the city hub called Slussen.

We leave you our home, so all essentials (from laundry detergent to a coffee maker to hair dryer...) are available for your use. We are quite flexible - e.g. if you want space in a closet or access to bikes, just ask.
Our balcony looks onto Sickla Lake, which is for swimming in summer and skating, skiing or walking in winter. On the other side of the lake is Nacka nature reserve which offers a feast of trails and forests for runners and walkers. An urban ski slope sits about 500 m. from the door. Near the sandy beach (about 100 m.), clay tennis courts can be booked in summer (for a fee and if you let us know in advance to make arrangements). There is also a shared outdoor grill for your use near the beach. We can leave keys to two city bikes on request.
There's a washer and dryer in the bathroom (also a drying rack to put on the balcony). The kitchen is well-equipped and we will leave you space in the refrigerator (and freezer on request).
One of Stockholm's largest shopping centres is only a 5 minute walk away - though nicely out of sight and sound thanks to a large hill. Here you find groceries as well as almost anything else you may or may not want...

For the climate-conscious, we own shares in a windmill, so all the energy you use chez nous comes from wind!
