Welcome to La Maison Larochelle. My partner Domarlie and I would love the opportunity to share our lovely little peace of paradise with you. Our home was built in 1867 and is as old as Canada it's self. A parsonage for the then Methodist church next door, previously owned by Acadians and on the unceded land of Mi'kma'ki with a very rich history. We have become known for our great food and we cater to any palette. You will not leave hungry. The ambiance here is warm and friendly, the decor is what I lovingly call HAG, (holistic, antique, gypsy). We work very hard to give you an experience and not just a bed and breakfast. Our beds are extremely comfortable with the best quality linens, fluffy large towels and beautiful views. Our grounds have many outdoor sitting areas in either sun or shade. Nothing better than our zero-gravity chairs, a cozy blanket, reading a book in the shade of the chestnut tree. We cook as organically and locally sourced as possible. We are blessed with many farming neighbours and a garden of our own. This old house has creaky floors, old doors, windows that open and so many stories. If you like the perfect sterile and private environment of a hotel this may not be the place for you. There are no TVs but there if free wifi. BnB people tend to be friendly so you may have the opportunity to share great conversation with people from completely separate parts of the world. Although we live in a separate part of the house (the old carriage house) we will make you feel like you are visiting friends. See you soon
