Being off-grid, you'll be greeted at "The Nook" with a "HOW-TO" demo for using propane appliances/lights, and the {quiet} generator needed for running the hot water system."The Nook" is rustic but very well equipped ! Canoe and rowboat too!

Although The Nook is off-grid, it comes equipped with appliances that run effortlessly and efficiently using PROPANE instead of hydro!

-propane on-demand propane water heater.
-wood stove (for heat in cooler weather)
The toilet is a low-water flush, porcelain toilet like what you'd find in a high-end RV or sailboat.
There's also a screened-in porch and wrap-around deck, with a propane BBQ.

Located in secluded, old growth forest on the shore of the Adolphus Reach(on the North shore of Prince Edward County...not far from the Glenora Ferry and Lake on the Mountain), the Nook is surrounded by nature.
Great swimming! at your own private sandy/pebbly beach(just steps from the cabin). The Nook is about 10 minutes from Picton, 2-1/2 hrs east from Toronto, and a million miles from everywhere.

Kitchen essentials are available in the pantry, as is some purified drinking water. Gasoline for the generator and firewood for bon fires is also supplied. Guests need to supply their own Queen-sized bed linens and pillows cases and pillows, bath and beach towels; blankets and pillows are supplied. Bringing your good dog? We ask you to also bring a light blanket to protect the sofa.

Welcome to my cozy cabin in the woods! It's a special place I now share with guests looking for a SECLUDED! waterfront retreat, surrounded peacefully by nature, here in beautiful Prince Edward County.

All guests get a "HOW-TO"demo of how things work. This needs to best happen during daylight hours between 3-5 pm, so please do NOT arrive in darkness unless you're a returning guest and don't need a demo. We're always available to help with any queries during your stay.
