Located on an 18-acre parcel of property minutes down a scenic road from US 29. The property affords walks along the creek and meadows beside the creek. Area attractions include the 151 Wine and Brewery Trail, restaurants, hiking trails, antiquing, orchards and music festivals. The Cottage on Davis Creek is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).

Comfortable, well-appointed 800 square foot cottage with two private bedrooms, a full bath and a common room with a 40" flat screen TV and sofa bed. The cottage is equipped with fiber WIFI . All rooms and the front porch are equipped with ceiling fans. Front porch and back deck overlook Davis Creek and surrounding mountains and pasture. The cottage has a full kitchen and central heat and A/C. The 18 acres of forest, field, and stream are available for exploration.

The cottage has its own entry, circular driveway, and parking area. The cottage is physically and functionally separate from the main house, 200 yards away, the only residence which can be viewed from the cottage.

The low water bridge across Davis Creek may be impassable for a few hours in heavy rains 3-4 times per year. There is no other access to this property. Owners will contact guests if this issue develops prior to their expected arrival.
The cottage is in view of the gravel road and while traffic is limited guests will see cars passing from the front porch of the cottage. Please see pictures.

On-property walks on green meadows, and in forest canopy along the creek. A map of the property showing Davis Creek, the meadows, the paths, and the roadways is available in the cottage so that guests can enjoy the property. The 6 acres of meadow, formerly pasture, along the creek have been planted with native hardwoods as a riparian conservation project. Many young trees remain in 4-foot plastic tree protectors. one meadow, the cactus patch, has a substantial growth of eastern prickly pear cactus, native but unusual in Virginia.

We are both retired and enjoy living on our Nelson County Virginia property as well as traveling.

The cottage has a lock box with a key to the front door. The lock box code will be sent to you before your arrival. Inside the cottage there will be a key for you to use during your stay. If you have questions about the cottage, the property, or the area, please call - telephone numbers are provided in the cottage notebook.
Owners Andre and Marie reside 200 yards up the driveway adjacent to the cottage fence, in the only home visible from the cottage.
