I am a 66 year old American, originally from Oregon, who has lived in Norway for 30 years, married to Katharine, a Norwegian American and international school teacher who grew up in USA. I am an English language writer by profession, employed full time for many years by a Norwegian energy company, and now semi-retired. We live in an old farmhouse on two acres of land in the countryside near Horten, Norway. We have four pigmy goats (Kara, Izzie, Rosy Nose and Brown) and one cat (Våle). The area where we live is rich in Viking history and sites. I have three adult Norwegian/American sons (living in Bergen, Norway, and Poznan, Poland), and Kath has two grown children (residing in London and Bergen, Norway).
