WELCOME to our COZY BUNGALOW-Studio (Puimek) in Dusit District of Old Bangkok.
Here, we provide a queen-sized real bed and a sofa bed, with fresh linen, towels and essential amenities (soap and shampoo) in your private ensuite bathroom/toilet. You may enjoy light cooking or warm up meals in the ensuite equipped kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, electric induction stove, pot, pan, dishes, glasses, cups and cutlery). *WE CAN TEACH YOU THAI COOKING, if you wish.
Our home is well known in the community as “Puimek Icecream”, a popular Cafe that we used to operate until 2010.
It has a local flair in a safe and quiet neighborhood but centrally located with easy access to public transport (buses, taxi, three-wheel Tuk Tuk, even a boat) and only few minutes walking to shops, minimarts, restaurants and street food stalls in nearby local marketplace.

Our cozy Private Bungalow is in the Original Old Bangkok. With various public transport systems around, it is surprisingly easy to navigate your way around from our place within the old and new parts of Bangkok. There are public buses and taxi nearby to connect you to The Skytrain (BTS) and underground (MRT) rail systems that go to main shopping, entertainment and business areas of the city, while Chao Phraya river boats and express boats can be used to explore many historic sites and attractions at the riverside - also a way to escape road traffic to go places to/from our location (using Thewes Pier situated nearby). Taxis are cheap and appear on virtually every corner. Tuk-tuks (a three-wheeled motor car; always a favorite Bangkok attraction (it"s worth a ride at least once albeit the marked-up price todays to cater to foreigners' interest for a fun ride). TukTuk's price goes by distance of a flat fee from Thb 50 or 100 to high up 500. You can practice your negotiation skills!
Once you have a hold of Bangkok transport system, you will be fine.
A descriptive direction is provided in additional welcome notes through Airbnb webpage once you confirmed booking. We are always alert, especially on the day of your arrival, to provide help to talk with the taxi driver giving directions in Thai; to make it work.
All our guests have had no problems at all using GRAB (similar to UBER; drivers use GPS accurately and some knows some English).

Probably the main advantage of staying here is its close proximity to the OLD BANGKOK. Especially on a quick trip to visit for sightseeing; our place is near all not-to-be-missed heritage landmarks and they are located close to each other for visits within a morning or afternoon easily from our place. The Old City (Rattanakosin) is home to Bangkok's most spectacular and revered historical attractions, among them The Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Buddha) and Wat Pho (Thai massage learning center), several museums, galleries, historical temples/monuments, and China Town. Our place is also very close to the famous Khao San Road night market, thai style cafés, and lively streets full of local food stalls and gourmet restayrant. Spend a day or two exploring most attractions are in the OLD Bangkok nearby our place. Dusit district provides a deep insight into the heart, soul and psyche of the Thai people & culture.
In brief, our place is good for first time sightseers and anyone looking for a low-budget but convenient, quiet, clean, peaceful and hospitable local Thai home ambiance with genuine hospitable atmosphere. Or it's a good place to rest in between trips in and/or out of Thailand & Asia. Our cozy home are good as well for those just coming to work in Bangkok and seeking a longer or temporary place to stay while awaiting a longer-term residence. We offer good discounts for anyone wishing to stay on a weekly or monthly/or multi months basis.
