The Original Grand Canyon high desert camp. We welcome you to our 6th season of sharing the natural beauty of our secluded camp, horizon to horizon stars & our years of experience exploring the southwest. A Prado Family host spends each night at the camp, offering an optional dinner & wake up to a fresh cup of coffee & breakfast. Stay in a private tent with a cozy bed dressed in fresh linens. You'll have your own, private bathroom & shower. Camp Prado will be a highlight in your adventure!

We have named the area Prado, meaning meadow in Spanish. Prado is located 30 miles from the entrance to the Grand Canyon. In this expansive open terrain we have 5 spacious, 16 foot diameter Bell Tents each with real queen sized mattress. For an additional $35 one twin mattress can be added to the tent. When you arrive you will have the choice of one of the available tents. These tents are completely off-grid. Water is hauled and all lights are solar. Each tent has a private camp shower & a "wag bag" toilet facility. A campfire is possible, depending on weather & fire danger. A light breakfast is included & there is also the option to purchase dinner. The compound is located 2 miles down a dirt road. If you are not comfortable with the drive we can arrange to pick you up at our Headquarters, for a fee, located at the intersection of Highway 64 & 180. Book ahead to reserve the entire space for group events. Prado, it's a state of mind!

There is a trailer on the premises that is used by our host. Guests do not have access to this area. Chair & bench areas to enjoy the sunset are scattered throughout our camp. Tents have private decks with chairs and fire pits.

Prado, our name for the vast landscape surrounding our listings. Historically settled by Spanish sheepherders, Prado is peaceful and vibrant in a unique way. Our summer camp offers the exceptional experience of glamping in the high desert of Arizona. Camp Prado is unrivaled when it comes to accommodations for your Grand Canyon experience. As hosts ,Jeff, Richard, Kari and Sandra , our intention is to make your experience one to remember. Share dinner and stories at our long table or fireside with other globe trotting guests. On site are two dry toilets, a solar shower, our hipster single-wide and an art installation. Our second location is on Linger Lane which is also just off HWY 180 near the intersection of HWY 64. The Grand Canyon Old West Brewers Loft has a functional Industrial modern, SouthWest aesthetic with a well stocked kitchen and media area. A High Fidelity sound system will allow you to enjoy music and movies to their fullest. We are excited to share the beauty and vastness of the High Desert of Arizona and look forward to being a part of your visit to the Grandest of Canyons. As hosts, we are eager to share our knowledge of the region . Our goal is to share the richness of the landscape, people and culture of the Southwest. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
