We do not accept guests who have symptoms (your temperature will be taken upon arrival), nor who plan to attend large gatherings (ie: family events or conventions). We wipe down all high touch surfaces every day with a bleach-based cleanser and ask all guests to wash hands thoroughly and frequently. Check-in is available by appointment only 3pm - 8pm
It is very important that you provide a specific check-in time at the time of booking that is no more than a 30 min window (ex: 4-4:30). Without this information, we will be forced to cancel your reservation.
ABOUT YOUR ROOM:
This comfortable room offers space to stretch out and even do some yoga.
~ Queen pillow-top bed
~ Desk & chair for working
~ Drawer and closet space
~ Ceiling fan for personal temperature control & white noise
~Ask about renting a mini fridge for your room! $1/day or $25/month if available.
MAIN BATHROOM
~ Roomy with a full tub/shower. You will share the bathroom with guests who rent our other 2 rooms. A shower schedule is posted for reserving the bathroom at your preferred showering time.

For everyone's safety, we ask guests to limit their activity to their room, the bathroom, the kitchen, and the dining room. We also ask that you wear your mask when moving around the house.
KITCHEN:
*We are not the right Airbnb for you if you want to cook meals for yourself.
*Toaster & microwave cooking only, please.
*We provide a selection of coffee/tea, creamer, sweeteners, breakfast breads, jelly, & peanut butter.
*A mini-fridge is available for rental ($1/day).
DINING ROOM:
You are welcome to use the dining room table. Please practice social distancing if another person is also at the table. Antibaterial wipes are set out for wiping down the table and your chair before/after use.

Merriam (aka Mission) is one of the older and quieter neighborhoods in Johnson County, a suburb of the Greater Kansas City area. Our home is located at the end of a cul de sac and exceptionally safe. Lots of old trees, bunnies, squirrels and our neighborhood owls who can be seen/heard at night or early morning on our neighbor's roof.
Centrally located, you will be no more than 30 min from most KC attractions. Only 15 min to Plaza/Westport/Power & Light or if you head west, 15-20 min to The Legends Outlet Mall. We are about 45 mins from the airport and the Stadium. Feel free to inquire about the distance/travel time to specific locations.

My husband & I live in the home as well as work from home. We work very early hours and we usually retire by 8pm -- so we may hardly see each other.
