Paddyfield Hideaway is 3/4 hour from Kandy, and 20 mins from Perhidiniya Botanical Gardens. We are are private 'homestay', for those seeking tranquillity. Room looks out onto beautiful garden, and is surrounded by a tea plantation and paddy fields. Close to ancient temples, and jungle villages, and you are unlikely to see any other tourists!
There are amazing walks through the jungle and you can see a village totally dedicated to drum making. A rare experience untouched by modern life...

The first impression of Paddyfield Hideaway makes on a visitor is not paddy fields but a lovely house set in a garden of beautiful flowers and a very green lawn!
Enter the house and go down the stairs, then you see the reason for the name...a green paddy field attended by a farmer at work surrounded by a flock of Egrets. Idyllic surroundings indeed...
