The Hilltop Perch is the upper level of our guest cottage nestled on 10 mountainous acres. Beautiful mountain views often include a stunning sunset (weather permitting) here on the property. We are private and relatively secluded, yet less than 10 minutes from I- 26 and Asheville Regional Airport. The Perch is a great hub for exploring Asheville, Hendersonville, the Biltmore Estate and surrounding mountains. The space is cozy, efficient and clean.

The Perch is the upper level of our guest cottage with a private entrance/carport right outside the front door. It offers a comfortable queen bed, futon on a sun porch (off of bedroom), rollaway cot (upon request), couch and loveseat in the living room. Full bathroom (shower only), full kitchen, outside sun porch with porch swing. Please note the lower level of the cottage makes up our second Airbnb unit, the Hilltop Den. Both units are private and completely independent of each other with their own entrances and parking areas.

We have a half mile country gravel driveway that leads you right to the carport and private entrance. Feel free to enjoy walking the trail around the property (let us know if you're interested and we'll show you to the trail). There is a beautiful sunset every evening in the front of the house, weather permitting.
Please know we have 2 dogs and one cat that often roam freely on our property. While our dogs are friendly towards people, they’re not towards other pets. If they are a nuisance, or are of concern, please let us know in advance and we'll be sure they're leashed or supervised.

We have a long, steep gravel driveway however, AWD is not necessary unless we've had snow. On those occasions, we do have a plow and will make every effort to make access convenient for you. We've been known to porter guests up and down the mountain :-)
During the summer months, yard maintenance takes a fair amount of our time. We'll make every effort to be mindful of your stay and keep the noise to a minimum.
Wildlife is frequently noted on our property. Turkeys, ground hogs, deer and the occasional bear may make an appearance.

Our property is private as we live on top of a small hill/mountain. Our driveway is long, gravel and can be steep. AWD is not necessary unless its icy/snowing. We are set apart from the town, but we are close to many things including some local restaurants, Ingles grocery (Fletcher), Dollar General, Park Ridge Health (hospital), Fletcher Park, Leila Patterson Center (local gym and pool). Once you are down the driveway, we are within 2 miles of all these places.
We have one neighbor at the beginning of our driveway that you will pass by. She has some farm animals including goats, chickens, ducks and herding dogs.

We are a full-time family that works outside of the home however, will periodically see us on and around the property. Please know, we love meeting new people so don't hesitate to reach out and introduce yourself if the opportunity presents.
