This is an immaculate little Wendy house right on the Prosser river. My place is close to Orford with shops, cafe, restaurant and post office just a short walk across the bridge. My place would be especially good for honeymoon couples and retirees. There is a barbeque on the verandah and a couple of kayaks for that sunset paddle.
It is small but beautiful. Compact but spacious and luxurious.
You will have absolute water frontage and privacy.

Orford is a small seaside town buzzing with activity in the Summer. Orford is just 50 minutes from Hobart airport. The little town has all amenities including pizza house and takeaway, pub, cafe and restaurant. The post office and general store are just a short walk across the bridge. There is free WiFi at Triabunna, 7 Km to the North. Orford is the best place to stay if planning a visit to Maria Island.

Park next to the cottage which is at the end of a private road.
Access is provided by a locked keybox on the front porch. Be sure you have been given the box combination.
There is a private jetty only a few metres away which guests can use.

Orford has opportunities for golf, (there is a golf club 2 km away), lawn bowls, diving, swimming, bushwalking and fishing. Guests are welcome to eat Friday nights at the golf club when a roast is served. Maria Island is very popular with hikers. There are also bicycles for hire on the island. The ferry leaves from Triabunna 7Km to the North. Take your own food!

The ferry to Maria Island departs from Triabunna which is 7K to the North. Maria Island is popular with the more adventurous bush walkers. There is a new ferry in operation and trail bikes are available for hire on the island.
Guests arriving at Hobart Airport in the afternoon wishing to stock up any provisions would be well advised to stop at Coles in Sorell on the way to Orford. You might find the IGA in Orford is closed or may not have what you want. Coles closes at 10 pm.

There are two kayaks under the cottage (Seakswift), and two life jackets, scupper plugs and drain bungs are kept in the wardrobe. There is one back-rest. The key to the kayaks is in the key-box along with the front door key. We discourage couples bringing children. A small baby or toddler could share the bedroom with its parents, but the cottage is right on the river with no child-proof balustrade on the back verandah which is nearly over the water. There is no cot available and no lawn or grassed area where a child could safely play.
Guests do have the use of a BBQ, but please clean the BBQ after you!
