This freestanding cabin is well-located in a lovely, quiet corner of Wadawurrung country. It has a pitched roof, split-level accommodation, picture windows, a pleasant deck, and good Wifi connection. It will suit an individual, couple, or small family for a weekend stay or a short holiday. The cabin is within pleasant walking distance of spectacular cliffs (10 mins) and beaches (15 mins). It is well shielded from the main family residence. Pets welcome.

The cabin consists of a living and a sleeping area (on different levels, but not divided by a wall) along with kitchen (oven included) and bathroom.
A small flight of stairs separates the two levels.
There is a comfortable queen-sized bed with a pillow-top mattress in the sleeping area. The two-seater couch in the living area is a single sofa bed, also very comfortable. A single folding stretcher bed is also available, and could be used by a child.
The living area opens onto a generous deck with outdoor furniture.
The cabin has reverse cycle airconditioning and a washing machine. It does not have a dishwasher or a clothes dryer.

Guests will have access to the cabin and deck. Pet dogs are welcome but note that the property is only partially fenced. If your dog is a tear-away, you will need a leash.

This BnB has the bed, but not the breakfast. As we do not usually live at or near this address, we are not usually in a position to provide our guests with breakfast.
The cleaning fee for the cabin is distinct from the service fee charged by AirBnB (which goes to them, not to us). This is a holiday property, and we are not usually around to do the cleaning ourselves. Without employing a local cleaner, we would not be able to make the cabin available.
We frequently host dog-owners with their pets and have never had any trouble, but guests should take care to protect the furniture, particularly the sofa, from their pets.
Guests are advised to contact us immediately if any problem arises with the cabin during their stay. We would seek to resolve the problem immediately or provide a refund.
Minimum stay is two nights.
Couples with small children have often stayed with us. In addition to the single sofa bed, a foldaway stretcher bed is available. If you have children, let us know, and we will see what we can do to make your stay comfortable.
Television reception is not fantastic, but the t.v. has an inbuilt DVD player, and videos can be hired at the local shops. It has a HDMI portal, but you will need to bring your own cable unless we are currently at the main residence, in which case feel free to borrow one. Wifi is available.

This is a place of great natural beauty, with spectacular beaches and abundant birdlife. You can sometmes walk for miles along the beach without seeing another soul. Its western border is marked by the picturesque Painkalac Creek, where you fish, swim, or go boating. Painkalac is a Wadawurrung word, meaning 'fresh water camping place.' A road sign west of the creek informs visitors that they are arriving in Wadawurrung country, which extends along Surf Coast up to Geelong (another Wadawurrung name).
Small shops and cafes make life comfortable here, but overall there is little commercial development. It is a wonderful place to have a holiday, or to live.
NB In the summer, residents have to be alert to the danger of fires. The Country Fire Authority has specific advice on Aireys Inlet.
