The room has a UK standard double bed. There is drawer space and hanging space. There is a large window with a view over the street below.The bathroom, which is not usually shared, is adjacent to the bedroom. (Check before you book to ensure you will have exclusive use of the bathroom.) Parts of the bathroom (not the shower area) have restricted height.

The room is 11m2 but has some restricted height due to its location in the roof space. Guests should also be aware that there are 30 stairs to climb to reach the attic.

I retired early (8 years ago) from a professional role in order to have more recreational time. The recreation bit didn't really work out as we started working with Airbnb in 2012. So we spend most of our time keeping house and looking after our wonderful guests. Christine has been actively involved since the beginning, but she retired in 2017 and is now the CEO of our venture. We live in a fairly large Edwardian semi. We are a very sociable couple and we enjoy the social life in our community. Guests seem to enjoy our house. Our house is clean but It is certainly not the tidiest house you will have seen. There are usually a few bits of clutter lying around. Books, newspapers and grandchildren's art work are often sprinkled around the place. I always tell Christine that a bit of clutter adds atmosphere to a home. She doesn't always agree.
