1 minute walk to tram stop for the no 11 tram (30 - 40 minutes by tram to central Melbourne.). Not far from grocery shops & scenic walks along the Merri Creek. Free street parking. Please note: from Jan 4th till May 2021, there will be some noise 7am - 4pm weekdays from a neighbor who is building an extension. Also note: no air-conditioning but the bedroom has a ceiling fan.

Spacious bathroom for your exclusive use (not ensuite - but it's the next room along the hallway from your bedroom). Guest bathroom includes shower recess, separate bath tub, basin & toilet.

Guest/s have exclusive use of a bedroom, a bathroom and a living room/study. Also access to kitchen and laundry and backyard (though preferably not during my on-line teaching times - see below).

I live and work from here full time: the main living area (which is only lightly partitioned from the kitchen) is my workspace for teaching and practising music. You have access to the kitchen at any time but I ask you to avoid any 'real' cooking during my teaching times. (Feel free to make tea or coffee or use the microwave at any time of day though). I post my teaching schedule by the door so you can check when the kitchen is fully available. I'm currently teaching about 16 hours a week during term times. My students enter and leave via the rear entrance and so it shouldn't disturb you (guest's rooms are at the front end of the house). I also practise piano and baritone horn most days but if my practise is bothering you, please let me know and I will be accommodating.

West Preston is a leafy, mostly residential neighbourhood - multicultural hubs of Sydney Rd, Coburg and Preston Market are not too far away. The Merri Creek trail offers beaut walks if you're in the mood - northwards to Coburg Lake; southwards to Ceres Environmental Park.

I'm a musician and music teacher - I studied (and still love) classical piano but I've branched out into other areas - most notably Balkan music. I enjoy being self-employed, teaching piano from my home studio, plus playing in local Balkan band Opa Bato. I started Airbnb hosting (with my landlord's permission) in an effort to help cover the rent on this large dwelling. I find as a spin-off that I'm enjoying meeting all the different people who come through.

If I'm home, guests will normally be greeted on arrival, shown around and supplied with a key each. Otherwise self check in available. I live and work here, so whilst I give guests as much privacy as they want, I'm available when needed.
