A great apartment (Penthouse) right in the center of Akureyri. The apartment in 95 sq.m. (1020 sq.ft.) and can accommodate up to 8 people in 2 bedrooms and in 2 sofa beds in the living room.
The apartment is right by the beautiful harbor of Akureyri. All main restaurants, bars and cafe's in Akureyri are within a walking distance from the apartment. Museums and galleries are also close by and the famous Akureyri swimming pool is a mere 500 meter walk from the apartment.

The apartment is on the 2 top floors (3rd and 4th) of the building. On the entrance floor there are two bedrooms, a hall and a bathroom with a shower as well as a washing machine and a dryer. A spiral staircase leads to the upper floor. The living room has a flat screen TV with access to several international TV stations, 2 sofa beds are in the living room. Small bathroom is on the upper floor. Fully equipped kitchen with a dining table for 8 persons and a dishwasher. Adjacent to the kitchen is a spacious balcony with a dining table and beautiful views of the Mountains of Eyjafjörður. On the lower floor there is another smaller balcony with a coffee table and 2 chairs.

Although the apartment is suitable for families it should be noted that the spiral staircase can be dangerous for the infants and smaller children.
Parking: Parking in Akureyri is free but you need a clock-card where you set the time of arrival. Such cards are available in the apartment, feel free to make use of one. Parking areas have maximum parking times displayed. Right in front of the building the maximum time is 15 minutes. Behind the building (1-2 minutes walk) you will find a large parking space with maximum parking time of 1 hour. If you go a tiny bit further (additional minute or so) you will find a parking space with 2 hour maximum limit. Note the time limits only apply from 10 am to 4 pm. So when parking overnight you don’t have to worry about time limits until the following morning.
You set the clock to show your time of arrival and if you exceed the maximum parking (or try to cheat by setting the clock ahead of the actual time) you run the risk of a fine. The clock-cards are available for free in banks, info-centers, hotels, petrol-stations and many shops in Akureyri. In case you don’t find a clock-card, write the time of parking on a piece of paper and display it in the front window of the car.
