A Charming Historic House converted into a flat with independent entrance, rebuilt for maximum comfort. Very welcoming, all rooms with windows and natural light and the master bedroom has a terrace with a nice view. In winter, it can also be heated with a wood stove. A treat!

The flat is split into 2 floors. Downstairs the open plan kitchen with dining and living area and also the bathroom. Upstairs you have 2 bedroom , with the master bedroom having a terrace.

Our Covid19 Aware Statement
As we all try to deal with the new reality of living with Covid 19 the following procedures and guidelines will be adopted in the apartment.
We have enhanced all cleaning procedures to make sure areas that are touched often are always disinfected, ie.: Door handles, Light Switches, Remote Controls etc.
Disinfecting hand gel is available in the apartment.
Disinfecting spray liquid is available should you wish to disinfect surfaces yourself.
Paper towels are available in the apartment.
All bath and face towels and linens are washed in our own industrial laundry to ensure that the correct procedures are followed. Disinfectant is used on ALL washes.
Beds will always be made unless you request for bed linens to be also left packed so you can make the beds yourself should you wish to minimise handling.

This district in the heart of Lisbon has more than 900 years of history.
In Mouraria is where the Muslims settled after the Christian conquest and it is believed that it´s melancholy Islamic songs are the origin of Fado Music so traditional of Lisbon.
The heritage of Arab town planning is still visible in its streets, the district has always been linked to the commercial activities that the capital has carried out over the centuries.
In this area and the surrounding districts, originally the first productions of Portuguese Mudejar art, and this led to Manueline art.
Born in our street, next to the Three Alley Mills, Maria Severa Onofriana, Portuguese singer, a reference in the Fado Music.
In front of the house of fado, was born in the twentieth century, Fernando Mauricio who was considered the "king of fado in the Moorish quarter".
Our street is now part of the Fado iconography.
Above, a pink house called Lagares Plateau de Lagares, Mariza the more international contemporary Portuguese fado singer, grew up and it was there that she learned to sing Fado.
After the inauguration of a Moorish shopping centre in Martim Moniz, the district became very busy with lots of trading happening all around.
Currently, Lisbon is considered one of the safest capital in the world. Crime id low although pickpocketing happens. Mouraria is a melting point for people of different cultures and, simultaneously, a place that keeps alive the ancient folk traditions, we can confirm with the existence of several fado houses, bars, taverns, local cultural and sports all that to pair of local Chinese and Indian commercial establishments, among others.

Hi. We are Alexandra & Pedro. We are brother & sister. We have great pleasure in hosting on our homes. We like to make sure everything is perfect for your holiday and that you feel at home.
