Our spacious one-bedroom apartment with exposed brick and a full kitchen is just minutes from dozens of wineries, breweries, antique shops, equestrian events and nature trails, with easy access to D.C., Baltimore, Dulles International Airport, the Potomac River and the Appalachian Trail. Come see the scenic beauty of Loudoun County and experience why it has been named one of the happiest, healthiest and safest communities in the U.S.

This downstairs apartment comes complete with a full kitchen, full bathroom, full laundry (if needed for longer stays) and bedroom with a queen-size bed (and two couches that pull out into twin-size beds). The apartment has a separate entrance with keyed entry for your convenience. We can stock the fridge with fresh eggs, as well as any local refreshments you may desire. We live on a small farm with 30 chickens, 8 ducks and 4 peacocks/hens that have vibrant personalities. Let us know if you'd like to interact with them--otherwise, enjoy the eggs! As hosts, we are here to provide whatever you need, but we can also make ourselves scarce and let you enjoy your home away from home.

We're minutes into the Virginia countryside, with award-winning vineyards, antique shops, breweries, wedding venues, restaurants and equestrian centers within 5 miles. From here, you can easily plan day trips to D.C. (1 hour), Baltimore (1 hour), Frederick (20 mins), and the rest of the region. Bring your hiking boots and visit the Appalachian Trail (40 mins) or the Shenandoah Valley (1 hour). Bring your bike for a trip down the historic W&OD Trail. Bring your kayak and swimsuit for a dip in the Potomac River, upstream from Great Falls. We're 30 minutes from the end of Metrorail, and 25 minutes from Dulles International Airport. Whether you need access to the bright lights or a chance to reconnect with nature, we have something for everyone.

We live on the first small hill of the Appalachian Mountains, nearly 400 feet above Rt. 15. At different times of the year, this gives us a view of the towns in the valley below, or beautiful, enveloping foliage and lush vegetation. The neighborhood is quiet, and neighbors generally keep to themselves. Cars use our road periodically, but on the weekends, we also get cycling enthusiasts that use our road to train. There is plenty of room in our driveway to park your vehicle, and the area is very safe.

Hello! My name is Brian and I live with my wife, son, dog, cats and flock of mixed poultry (chickens, ducks and peacocks) on a little farm in the village of Lucketts, VA. We live in the best of both worlds, enjoying the natural beauty of the Appalachian foothills, while having easy access to the Baltimore-Washington region and armed with high-speed Internet.
