Queen Bea is a beautiful inner-city house located in the heart of Northcote, 6km north of the City of Melbourne. Owned and operated by a children’s book publisher, the house is decorated with original art and furnished with designer furniture. Perfect for families, lovers and business travellers.

The house is set between High Street and St Georges Road - close to trams, trains and the Merri Creek trail. It is a short walk to great coffee and top quality restaurants. Northcote is Melbourne’s vibrant arts hub and is brimming with galleries, bars, music venues and independent retail stores. The Westgarth cinema is a short tram ride away at the foot of Ruckers Hill, and CERES Environment Park is just across the river. For those who enjoy exercise there is a membership free gym close by, a nearby tennis court for hire and a golf course not far away. We’ll leave some hot tips, but there is plenty to explore and discover on your own.
Queen Bea is the perfect place for families, friends, lovers and business travellers visiting Melbourne for both short and long stays.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Two bedrooms in total, the house comfortably sleeps four people and can accommodate one more on a foam mattress. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other a king size bed that can be split into two singles. There is one bathroom and one toilet.
The open plan living area is comfortable and in winter you can enjoy the selection of books and DVDs in front of an open fire. There is also a gas heater and air-conditioning. There are two 3-seater couches, and a 6-seater table and the kitchen has all the necessary equipment for cooking up a storm. For those who love a BBQ, there is a Weber Q and an outdoor setting in the courtyard.
With a Miele washing machine and dryer, and an iron and board, all your laundering needs are covered.
We’ll provide high speed wireless internet and essential household items, including linen, towels, toiletries, hair dryer, washing powder and a load of wood. The house will be stocked with basic pantry items, and there are supermarkets within a five-minute walk.
You can request a porta-cot and high chair if you have little ones, and we’re pleased to say that there are three fabulous playgrounds within walking distance.
We love animals, but ask that you leave them at home or with a friend.
If you are a smoker, we request that you make best use of the outside courtyard or front porch.
Please note – there is no off street parking, but free parking is always available on the street.
