This contemporary yet classically styled detached property is situated in the most beautiful location just metres from the shore edge.

Less than 3 miles to Eilean Donan Castle & 9 miles from The Skye Bridge.

This family home, that has seen its occupants grow up & move on, has every amenity needed for a rural Highland retreat.

The tranquility this area offers is assured to aid you in achieving peace & relaxation away from everyday life's stresses.

When booking for two guests choose between the double room set-up or the twin room.

Please specify when making your enquiry to avoid disappointment.

If you would like use of both the twin and double room, a £35p/n per person surplus will be added with a maximum of two extra persons allowed.

Please enquire if you have children about what options are available; will be taken on a case-to-case basis.

The double room contains a King sized bed with wooden frame and super-soft mattress topper.

Our home is slowly being re-decorated.

Our home has been the hub of 3 busy humans for the past 10 years- since it was built.

There are flaws in the aesthetics - that's not to say that we aren't in the process of tying everything together.

Rome wasn't built in a day!

Please, please no smoking inside.

No one has ever smoked in this house & we can not stress how much we would like this to continue.

Of course outside is perfectly ok but remember to bin any rubbish.

You will be renting a double/twin room.

The shower room and bedroom(s) are upstairs.

Each room in the house has beautiful views from the windows, offer cupboard space and feature lockable doors.

Full access to downstairs for guests comprising of living room, open plan kitchen dining room space, w/c, vestibule, utility room and outside veranda.

Ample off road gated parking space included for your vehicle(s) right next to the house.

We strongly recommend closing the gate as there are lazy dog owners around who let their pets stray.

We are unable to have the gardener come to cut the grass if there is anything in the front lawn as well as it being awful to deal with when trodden on.

Double bedroom compromises of: king sized bed, desk & chair, 2 x fitted cupboards- 1 with rail & shelf, shelving unit, window with stunning view of loch.

Twin room consists of 2x single beds, window onto loch, wardrobe with shelving, fitted wardrobe and a full length mirror.

Solid oak flooring downstairs, tiled flooring in utility & w/c, carpeted stairs & upstairs, linoleum in upstairs shower room.

Fully fitted kitchen to use with glass top hob & extractor fan, fan oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, sink, dishwasher & pantry.

Utility with fridge/freezer, washing machine, sink, coat hooks, boot rack and door leading to garden.

Round the corner from the utility is the downstairs w/c.

South-facing living room with leather suite, French style double doors, tv with Amazon fire-stick & external speakers, Nintendo wii, multi-fuel stove & patio doors opening onto veranda with stunning loch views.

Fuel for the stove can be purchased en-route in Fort William or Inverness.

Locally, you can purchase supplies in Inverinate or Broadford.

Closest small shops are 3 miles away; go west to Balmacara or east to Dornie.

Some jigsaws and playing cards are at the house for your use.

The shower room has a heated towel rail, toilet, sink, velux window & of course... a shower!

•New as of Jan 2020 - fibre optic broadband,

•1 x hand towel & 1 x large towel per person.

Take advantage of this great location and try activities like hill-walking, fishing, cycling, kayaking or simply walk along the road to the very end where your breath will be taken away from you...!

Eat out and sample some of the finest seafood and game in the country with beautiful eateries such as Kinloch Lodge in Sleat, The 3 Chimneys, in North Skye, Off the Shore in Plockton or Bùth Bheag in Kyle as well as many others!

Experience nature at your fingertips.

From the house you may see deer visiting in the garden, otters on the rocks on the shore, various birds- small and large, pine martins running across the road, crabs on the shore in rock pools, sheep & lambs in the croft next to the house, chickens in neighbouring gardens and much more.

Last but no means least- our aging black & white cat Merlin still lives here.

He is fed and generously looked after by the next door neighbours so no requirement for you to do so however he may pay you a visit!

As cats and other animals have been in the house over the years, those with allergies may need to consider this.

Merlin is the most gentile of cats & cleanliness is still very much of the highest standard.

This property is self-catering.

Out-with Covid:

If previous guests have left shampoo or shower gel we leave this to be used up to save wasting them if they are in a suitable condition but we do not provide these.

We do not provide any food, washing powder or fuel for the fire.

The house does not follow the specification of providing a ‘welcome’ tray or box.

We do not claim to cater for every guests needs regarding catering, therefore we presume you will pick up supplies that you will need for your stay.

There are however some condiments in the carousel in the kitchen which we are happy for you to use; spices and seasoning.

The serenity and openness is to die for.

The local population consist of retired people, a few families and other holiday properties.

Weather is very hit or miss.
