Welcome! Featuring beautiful floorboards, antique fireplace and a bay window with views of Royal Park, our light and bright home has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a small kitchen. The queen size bed has a firm, high quality mattress. The location boasts all the advantages of an inner city location with easy access to shopping and restaurants. Situated on lively Sydney Rd, public transport is at your doorstep with a 15 minute tram ride to the city.

The space is both beautiful and functional. I've striven to make sure this is a place where you can relax! The bed is made up with 500 thread-count cotton sheets and a big comfy duvet. The couch is large enough to lay down and put your feet up. There is a lovely view of the park through the large picture window. The bathroom decor may be dated, but the spa bath still works and is worth trying out! And the kitchen has all the basics. There is a two burner electric stove, microwave and fridge, and I'll make sure it is stocked with tea, coffee and other essentials in case you don't have time to go to the shops. A split system air conditioning unit will keep you cool in summer or nice and toasty in winter.

Guests have full use of the apartment and can also access the laundry downstairs ($4 per wash and $3 per dry, gold coin only). Please note that despite the name of the building (Ye Olde Lodge), it is no longer a lodge/hotel! People live in the apartments around you so please be respectful of them. No loud music or parties and keep the hallways clean please.

Brunswick is home to great restaurants, pubs, cafes, music and parks. It's only 15 minutes to the CBD by tram, but you may find you never want to leave the local neighbourhood. Walk out the door, and a block up Sydney Rd, you'll be in the heart of it all. Plus Royal Park is across the road, home of the Melbourne Zoo and a 9 hole golf course!
Within a 15 minute walk, you can also get to some other great neighbourhoods, including Melbourne's iconic Lygon Street (best Italian food around!).

After living in different locations around Australia and the world, I have settled in Sydney with my wife and daughter. We still love to travel, though, and always try to stay in airbnbs when we can. We love the mix of places, the uniqueness of each one and the interesting chats we have with the hosts. Back in the day, I used to live in this studio in Brunswick and loved it.
