A two level loft apartment walking distance to Shelburne Falls. Private, simple, unique, cute, and efficient.
The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet with the notable exception of a nearby train intersection. 4-6 times in a given 24 hour period there'll be a loud train whistle.

The Apartment has an open ceiling in the kitchen area and a winding stair leading to the living and sleeping area. The upstairs has three different levels: one exiting to the back deck, one a reading area, and the third level is the television area. (The pullout couch is located in the TV area.) The Queen size bed is on the floor but from the 1st level height it will feel like a normal height bed. Ceilings are low on the 2nd floor...watch your head...
Kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dishes, etc.... There are some basic food items like olive oil, butter, eggs, 1/2 and 1/2, tea, coffee, cereal/oatmeal, and so on. On the back deck you'll find a small grille and in the tree line I have steel fire ring for an evening fire (wood provided).
Beginning in December the Apartment will have its own washer/dryer which will be located in a section of the garage...not the MOST convenient but better than driving to a laundromat!
This space is most comfortable for one or two people. There is a pull out couch for a third. I do charge extra for a third person. Sheets and blankets are provided for the pullout and you should assume that you will be responsible for making that bed.

In addition to the apartment, you will have access to private deck area facing a tree line. In that tree line is a path to a fire pit and a little further a small open area that gets nice morning light.
I have a large backyard behind my house which is attached to the apartment. I would ask that you restrict your outdoor usage to the area immediately behind your apartment/deck.
You may also make use of the garage. It would be difficult to park anything but a small car or motorcycle in there but it is there for your use should you need a place to store something.

COVID 19 AND CLEANING: I am practicing a deep disinfecting clean on the apartment. All surfaces in the apartment are washed with a general cleaner and then given a Round 2 in which surfaces are disinfected with disinfecting wipes. This includes pens, fridge/stove handles, light switches, handrails, jars of food, chair arms/backs, Kleenex boxes...and then all the obvious surfaces... Linens and towels are washed between each rental... The floors will be vacuumed and mopped using swiffer cleaning products. Dishes done by previous guests are inspected for their cleanliness!
I've removed some non-essential items such as ornamental pillows, some books and games, etc.... I run an air purifier in the apartment full time. And the apartment will be allowed to rest for 1 day between rentals.
COVID 19 AND TOWN: Grocery stores are operating more or less as usual and most restaurants are open for take out. The Blue Rock and the Gypsy Apple are offering outdoor eating opportunities...
THE TRAIN: The nearby train intersection provides the community with a loud whistle, 4-6 times a day. It is quite loud. Sometimes the train conductors are polite and it sounds more like a tea kettle...sometimes the conductors are cranky and they pretty much just lay on their horn...
FOOD: I will always keep the kitchen stocked with some basic items such as olive oil, butter, cereal, oatmeal, pasta, rice, coffee, tea (black and herbal). For short term stays you can also rely on finding 1/2 and 1/2 for your coffee; eggs for a morning snack; and frozen food items for an evening snack.
All products are organic...if that even means anything anymore...

Shelburne Falls is a quaint town. There are several restaurants in town and easy access to museums, hiking, mountain biking, etc... There is a laundromat about a 5 minute drive from here and a natural food store the same distance (4 minute drive).

I'm a self employed carpenter and an engaged member of my community. I have a background in photography and am an avid mountain biker. Going out to eat, seeing live music, and enjoying the company of friends are things that I enjoy doing.
住宿期間
Whenever possible I will be interested to at least say hello to my guests. I am a business owner and am away for large parts of the day - occasionally in areas with no cell service.
