Guests will be sharing the house with me. You will have access to a shared living room, dining room, sunporch, front porch and bathroom with your private downstairs bedroom. Bedroom overlooks the back garden. The room offers a full size bed, dresser, clothing rack, bench and luggage rack. Washer and dryer available on site, as well as WIFI and TV for movies or Netflix in the shared living room. Sunporch also offers a "home gym", a stationary bike that you are welcome to use. An extra twin bed is available to be placed in the room upon request. Please help yourself to the coffee, tea and cocoa!

Town shuts down pretty early, so be prepared if arriving late. The grocery store closes at 7 PM, gas station at 8 PM and local restaurants before 9 PM.
It's a different story in the winter months, not as much to choose from, but Lubec is beautiful no matter what season.

My name is Sara McConnell and I've lived in Lubec most of my 35 years. I am fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful places in the world and would love to share my excitement for the area with you. I have been living and slowly renovated my 100 year old arts and crafts style home for the past 6 years. I love to hike during all four seasons in and around Lubec on our numerous hiking trails. During the winter months, if we have enough snow, you can find me with my snowshoes. Sundays are reserved for hiking, so join me for "Sunday Hikes!" My favorite trails lead to the ocean. I work for Healthy Acadia, a public health nonprofit, that empowers people and organizations to build healthy communities in Washington and Hancock counties. For the past 4 years I have specifically been working with nutrition education curricula to help all ages gain knowledge and skills to eat healthier on a budget. In my spare time I volunteer on various boards in the community: Lubec Memorial Library, HealthWays Regional Medical Center in Lubec, West Quoddy Head Lighthouse Keepers Association, Quoddy TV and the Lubec Recycling Committee. In the past I have been a member of numerous groups and committees: Lubec Bicentennial Celebration, 4th of July Celebration, Fall Festival, Harvest Howl, Pirate Invasion of Lubec, Parade of Lights, Bay of Fundy International Marathon, Lubec Community Outreach Center, Board of Selectmen, Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium, County Budget Committee, Washington County Council of Governments and other various planning groups. I am passionate about the place I call home and would like to share my excitement of the area. Please make yourself at home at The Heart of Lubec!
