Lots to do in the area: Relax, Hike, Golf, Shop, Wineries, Breweries. 10 minutes away from downtown Spruce Pine. Hiking at Linville Falls, Grandfather Mt and more. Snow tubing is 18 min away. Snow Skiing: 30 min to Sugar Mt and 45 min to Beech Mt.

You’ll enjoy the privacy of your own ground level apartment with private deck on the creek, which includes fire pit and charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid). Rest assured the "common space" as Airbnb calls it, is your own private living room. The sofa opens up into a queen size bed. There is lots to do in the area. Hiking at nearby Linville Falls and Gorge. Explore Linville Caverns. Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway and see Grandfather Mountain and the Viaduct.

We do recommend you wear water shoes if you go exploring in the creek.
Each apartment has its own deck and outdoor area. Please respect the other guests privacy.
The campsites, garages, carport and vegetable gardens are off limits.

Due to pet allergies and other health issues we do not allow pets in the apartments.
We have Hughesnet, and while the WiFi signal is great, the internet can be slow, or have difficulty streaming videos during peak usage times. We have DISH for watching TV, a DVD player and an assortment of DVDs.
Quiet time is from 10 pm to 8 am. Please be considerate of other guests.

Even though our physical address is Newland, it‘s a 20-30 minute drive up to downtown Newland. You’ll find a Dollar General just a minute down the road plus convenience stores and gas stations just 6 minutes down the road in Spruce Pine. Restaurants and a grocery store are 10-20 minutes and Walmart is 15 minutes away.
The Blue Ridge Parkway and many places to explore are close by too.

We try to greet you and show you the Chalet when you arrive but after that you may or may not see us outdoors. We live on the property so we are here if you need us.
When it comes time for you to check out-Wash your dirty dishes, place dirty towels in shower, leave beds unmade, lock the sliders, turn off the lights, heaters or a/c, leave the key by the coffee maker and twist lock the door handle.
