Guests may request clean towels and / or linen, normally changed after 3rd day - owing to local water shortages.
We have placed loose, organic, natural fibre rugs and mats - including a fokati rug, cow hide and Angora goat skins (easier cleaning / sanitising and to add warmth and comfort). However, should you prefer to have these mats and carpets removed for your stay, please notify us and we will gladly oblige!

Pura Vida is a Costa Rican greeting (literal meaning "Pure Life"), and was chosen for this little piece of paradise for its ambience and charm - free-standing, on a shady plot within short walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shopping and all amenities.
Owing to water shortages and power outages, there is currently no laundry nor ironing service - please use laundromats in the village for laundry and ironing. There is no washing machine nor ironing facilities in the unit. No dishwasher.

My co-host, Gloria Schmidt, and I do not live on the property. I rent out the completely separate, free-standing and self-contained cottage as I live and work abroad. Gloria loves to meet people from all over the world, and thoroughly enjoys hosting my guests! Gloria and my housekeeper, Phumla, who is practically family, take care of the property and my guests for me. They are both experienced and reliable and will make your stay at Pura Vida memorable.
