Our restored pickers accommodation Hut #1 is part of a twin cabin with a shared bathroom and toilet amenities. Perfect for extended families! It's is situated in a private corner of the pear orchard with a view to the pear and lemon trees first thing you step out of the door. There is a variety of birdlife in the bush next to the huts and in a Parsons Bay, one minute walking distance, where you can also find a farmgate stall with fresh fruit and veggies. White beach 5 mins walking distance away.

Our Huts are situated in a sheltered corner of the pear orchard. It is close to a beautiful white sandy beach (White Beach) perfect for walking, kayaking, swimming, fishing. There are some nice snorkelling spots nearby and a Beautiful Roaring Beach- the famous surfing spot about 30 min drive.
There is a fresh fruit and veg stall at the premises where you can get all the essentials of cooking your dinner.
Our friends have set up The Pear Shed Cafe in front of the Veg Stall which is open from Wed-Sun 7.30am-14.30pm and makes beautiful coffee and pastries.
Nubeena township has got 2 shops, a bakery, hardware store, Bendigo bank with an ATM, a chemist, and a Community Health Centre. The Port Arthur Historic Sites is just a 10 min drive and Port Arthur Lavender Farm 15 min drive. Love living in such a beautiful corner of Tasmania!

We are living in a beautiful southern corner of Tasmania- the island state of Australia or as historically named An Apple Isle. Our property is a 4th generation pear orchard and is situated in a renowned crayfishing village, Nubeena about 10 mins drive from Port Arthur Historic Sites. Life in this corner of the world, in a rural settlement can be rugged and challenging but definitely inspiring and colourful. You find beauty everywhere you look. Scott is a born and bred pear orchardist and this is his family farm. The huts have a long history of guests enjoying their summer holidays since they were established in the 70s. And thats not a surprise- situated in the sunny corner of the orchard with a short walk through the property you could get to the beautiful White Beach! The pear farm with its beautiful location and character has developed to be a hub for local artists -The Pear Shed Gallery where you can find works of the local artists and craftspeople from the Tasman Peninsula is located at the farm gate- a big packing Shed as you arrive to the farm. There is a beautiful small café next to the gallery called The Picker’s Pantry where you can enjoy locally roasted coffee and local treats in a beautiful orchard.
