Oma Maria's is a self-contained apartment attached to our other listing - Oma and Opa's house. All on one level it is accessible and includes a walk in tub and a raised toilet. A ramp makes it convenient for anyone with mobility issues. With a kitchen, two bathrooms, a large bedroom with two double beds and a sleeper sofa in the living room, it is a great place for a family. For quiet evenings there are games, DVDs and wifi for streaming. Oma Maria loved this apartment and we hope you will too.

This apartment was built for Oma Maria many years ago and has many features which are attractive to the older adult. Everything is on one floor, and there is a ramp leading up to the main door. A walk in tub is useful for anyone with more mobility issues. There is a kitchen with full stove, small fridge, microwave and coffee maker, as well as all the pots, pans, plates and glasses which would be necessary. The large bedroom has two double beds in it, but there is still lots of room to move around. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room. There are two bathrooms in the suite.
This is a private self contained unit, adjacent to the main house. The kitchen and bathroom are closest to the main house, so the living room and bedroom area would not be affected by noise from the main house.

Guests will have the entire granny suite to themselves.

The Granny Suite is at a working nursery (for flowers, plants, shrubs and trees), so there will be some customers and activity nearby, especially during Spring. Other times of the year it can be relatively quiet, but the greenhouses are nearby to visit too.

Just five minutes outside the village of Golden Lake, we are close to lake access, the thriving Algonquin community of Pikwakanagan and close to Algonquin Park, as well as the communities of Eganville, Killaloe and Pembroke. Whitewater rafting, visiting Bonnechere Caves, snowmobiling, fishing and attending the annual Pow Wow are some of the activities visitors to our area enjoy.
