The property has a rural feel. The Chalet is self contained with fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Wairere falls are only 15 mins upstream on a public walkway. However you do need to cross the stream (weather permitting) to access the walkway. If the river is too high there is a foot bridge about 5-10 minutes walk down the adjoining Pa road. The Stone Store is only about a further 5-10 minute walk through a reserve from the footbridge.
