This beautifully renovated 1930s waterfront cottage is perched on the sand-dunes overlooking Pirates bay and Descent Beach. Roaring waves will be the soundtrack to your stay.

Set in the famous Doo-Town on the beach these shacks have real character. The house is a small seaside shack from the 1930s but newly renovated. Features include original floorboards, wide expansive views and modern luxury bathroom.
There is a large living room with captivating views of the bay and a cozy fire. A master bedroom and second bedroom have comfy beds you will never want to leave! The bathroom with bathtub is modern and recently renovated.
The house is surrounded by wildlife- penguins, echidnas, wombats, deers, birds and whales.
The house has its original charming character and has been renovated and restored with love.

The entire house is yours to explore and use. The shack is one of two properties sharing a driveway. The other property also hosts guests - so you may run into them in the car park or while getting firewood from the woodshed.
You can also rent both shacks together if you are interested - see the other listings in my hosting profile!

The house is supplied by rain water (tank collected). It’s delicious and safe but we ask guests to be mindful of water usage especially in summer.

Semaphore shack is situated on the beach of one of Tasmania's most majestic and beautiful bays and beaches. Pirates bay is teeming with life; seals, whales, penguins and fishing boats. Down the sand-dunes to Descent Beach you will find white sand and gentle waves perfect for beach combing, snorkelling, kayaking and swimming. Turn around and you are surrounded by beautiful hills.
Pirates bay is a great place to stay for a surf trip. Eaglehawk Neck has amazing waves in the right conditions. From peaky and fun beach breaks to left and right hand reef break options. Within 30mins drive are more of Tasmania’s great waves including Boneyards, Remarkable Cave and Roaring Beach.
Nearby are the incredible natural rock formations of the Tasman Peninsula including the Devils Kitchen, Tasman Arch and the Blowhole.
There are also some great bush walks along this unique stretch of coast. Including water fall bay, crescent beach and the three capes track.

Privacy is the name of the game. We live interstate. The entire house is yours but I am available via phone call if needed.
There is a property next door that is also on AIRbnb and so there may be guests staying there too. You will share a driveway, woodshed and the track to the beach.
