Our apartment is located in the Holly Neighborhood in the heart of East Austin and has a view of Lady Bird Lake. We designed and built the unit to accommodate family visiting from out of state. We have equipped the apartment for an extended or short-term stay with modern amenities for a homey experience. The location is super close to downtown, Oracle, Lady Bird Lake, Roy Guerrero Park, F1 and COTA, 6th Street, shops and food trucks on Cesar Chavez Street, great restaurants, bars and breweries.

The Willow Street Studio is a sunny open space with craftsman details and comfortable, modern furnishings. The apartment has large windows for light and a balcony with view of Lady Bird Lake. Start your morning with a cup of coffee on the balcony, then go for a walk along the lake trail. In the evening, you can walk to one of the many restaurants in the area.
The kitchen has everything you need to cook and dine at home with a gas range, refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. The king and double beds are outfitted with comfortable linens and the bathroom is well lit with a large mirror and full size bathtub. We also provide free WiFi internet and a smart TV.
The studio is within walking distance to East Cesar Chavez restaurants and bars including Juan in a Million, Launderette, LaBarbeque, and Kemuri to name a few, and also several food truck parks. We are two miles from downtown, Rainey Street, and the Convention Center and only 6.5 miles to ABIA Airport. We are also just over the bridge from south Lakeshore offices and restaurants and 2 miles to Emo’s on Riverside Drive. Metro Bus Number 17 is just a block away and will take you straight downtown in minutes. There are always plenty of Uber/Lyft cars rolling around just a minute or two away (ir sometimes just seconds!). Electric scooters and bikes are always nearby as well. No rental car needed. Our studio is a block away from an awesome hike and bike trail that loops around Lady Bird Lake. The 10 mile loop goes from Pleasant Valley Road all the way to the MOPAC Bridge. You can go on an amazing hike through the City or walk or bike on this trail to Zilker Park for ACL Fest, to downtown for SXSW, shops on Congress, or for a swim in Barton Springs.

The apartment is located above a separate workshop garage in our backyard with it’s own private entrance. The house has a smart lock for very easy access. Guests receive a personal code through the Airbnb messaging service.

For security purposes, we do ask that all of our guests have a complete AirBNB profile before we accept booking requests. Basic contact information (phone number & email address) must be verified, and your Offline ID (e.g. driver's license) should be linked to your account.
Our property is properly licensed with the City of Austin as a short term rental.
Please note that the studio is an open floor plan without any private bedrooms. The double bed is located in the loft overlooking the king bed. The loft is up a steep split-tread staircse which is a little like a ladder.
Please be respectful of our no pet policy. The no pet policy is due to a severe medical health allergy to pets including dogs and cats of a family member who visits and stays in the apartment. We have a dog but we have kept her and other pets out of the apartment to allow a place for family member to visit.

There is so much to talk about in the Holly Neighborhood! The heart of Holly is Cesar Chavez Street with many restaurants, bars, breweries, stores, and food trucks. Holly is in close proximity to downtown and Lady Bird Lake and also the central location convenient to just about anywhere in Austin.

When we moved into our house in the Holly Neighborhood seven years ago, we were a young couple with an energetic dog named Sophie. We now have two young boys to keep us company. We really enjoy walking along the trail of Lady Bird Lake, especially the loop from Pleasant Valley to Congress along the Boardwalk, and walking in Roy Guerrero park down to the Colorado River with Sophie. We love the parks in the area and the close proximity to downtown, restaurants, food trucks, parks (including playgrounds), and art galleries.

If you need anything during your visit, we live in the front house on the property and are happy to help. We respect your privacy, so unless you get in touch we'll let you have peace and quiet.
We have a catahoula leopard hound (doggie) named Sophie who will likely greet you at the other side of the fence, but we provide a separate gated entrance for guests.
