A quintessential Sanibel Island getaway. Offering a spacious porch overlooking a sparkling heated pool and spa, this home has an open floor plan, a comfortable living area, and a tasteful and immaculate kitchen. It features two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is a lovely 9 minute walk or 4 minute bike to the beach through Algiers Park. The bike path is located at the end of the driveway.. Truly a must-see on Sanibel Island. 2 beach bikes , beach chairs and towels available for guests.

Beautiful Oasis on Sanibel Island
My wife and I have vacationed on Sanibel several times, love the island and have lots we like to do when we visit. We are picky with where we stay, and we were a little anxious when we selected a new listing with no reviews on VRBO. However, we were extremely delighted when we arrived at Palm Cottage and found that everything was exactly as promised and close to everything we wanted to do on vacation. The house was exceptionally clean, beds were comfortable, ample towels and stocked kitchen. The owner’s, Julie and Bill, were quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our trip which is always greatly appreciated. The house is truly a “home away from home”. The house is conveniently located on the island with only a short walk to beach access near Algiers Beach. The two provided bikes allowed us the ability to travel the island like locals going to Bowman’s Beach, Lighthouse Beach, Ding Darling Nature Preserve, Blind Pass Beach and grocery shopping at Jerry’s and Bailey’s General Store. Many of our afternoons were spent enjoying the private back yard pool and spa. The property could be described as a private botanical garden with so many types of palm trees, hibiscus plants, ferns, lime tree, bird of paradise plants and many other types of flowering trees and bushes. In addition to the plants, we enjoyed the local wildlife that we could view just outside the screened pool enclosure: iguana, ibis, turtles and even a couple of alligators in the small pond next to the house during our stay. We were able to enjoy many meals and relax on the covered deck enjoying the beautiful back yard. We will definitely recommend this home to all of our friends and we hope to come back soon for our next Sanibel vacation!

Bill and I have four grown young men. We also have a bull terrier and a mini English bulldog. Our oldest graduated from Denver University. Our second is a returning senior to Bentley University. Our third is at Regis College and our youngest is at Stonehill! Wow the college years!! A bit overwhelming. We enjoy traveling and time spent with family. I work as an elder care-giver for people at home and in residence. Bill is a Bank Manager for Norway savings Bank here in Maine.

For your stay. We have a pool company one time per week on Wednesday’s and a landscaper to look after the lawn and plantings as well.
