One step inside Delano Bed & Breakfast and you'll feel yourself leaving the hectic pace of the 21st Century behind. Your reservation includes 2 Bedrooms and 2 private bathrooms. Guests will find a well appointed interior complete with quality period furnishings and fine art from early-mid Century European artists. Our home was built in 1910 by Morris Schollenberger. He began the first Auto dealership in Wichita. There are many books filled with rich history about Wichita and the Delano area on the shelves in the parlor. Guests are welcome to browse thru the library and relax in the parlor or walk around the flower gardens or sit in one of the several sitting areas in around the gardens.

We live here . Our bedroom is upstairs. You will have access to the entire home with limited use of kitchen. The home is shared with us as we will be here as well. Let me know what you need and we can work out a space for your items if you are staying for awhile. The gardens and outdoor seating areas are open for your use as well. We have a small dog and a bird. Guests are not allowed to bring their own pets.

There are several sitting areas in the gardens and a fire pit is available for guests. The Garden Tea Room is open for viewing. If someone wants to enjoy "Tea time", Sherri is happy to provide you with a special tea and sweet treats at an additional charge.

We are in a residential area. As you sit on the front porch you will see families walking their dogs, or riding bicycles. It is a quiet neighborhood that has a flair for the arts. We are walking distance to the river and the Delano District has a lot of special shops and eating establishments that are unique to Delano.

Keith and I love to entertain so being hosts is a great way to do that. We are as,available you need us to be. We love old homes . We are opening up our 108 year old home to others so they can take a trip back in history. We love living in the Delano district because it is close to everything downtown. We have a small dog who loves everyone.
