Welcome to the mountains! You will be staying in a private, roomy studio with a living space and kitchenette, located below a family home in a quiet neighborhood just off the scenic Blue Ridge parkway between Grandfather Mountain and Blowing Rock. We provide Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, high-speed WiFi and a continental breakfast. We are located 10 minutes from Blowing Rock, 15 minutes from Appalachian Ski Mountain and Grandfather Mountain, and 20 minutes from Boone, NC.

We are the closest AirBNB to the Linn Cove Viaduct, the most photographed point along the entire Blue Ridge Parkway, and we are only ten minutes away from the picturesque village of Blowing Rock.
The studio is a roomy 500+ square feet, double the size of a conventional hotel room. It sleeps a family of 4-5 comfortably. The floorplan is open except for the bathroom, with the sleeping area in the back. We have free WiFi, and the download speed is around 100 Mb/s. We also have decent cell reception in the studio. There are a queen bed and a single bed in the main sleeping area, and also a loft bed that is fun for younger guests. The couch is not a pull-out, but it is large and comfortable to sleep on. There is a roll-away in the closet for an extra guest. We also have a crib and a pack-and-play for infants and toddlers upon request.
The HVAC is quiet and powerful. The remote for the heat/AC is on the wall above the couch. There is a heat mode (sun) and an AC mode (snowflake). There is also a convection heater on the wall near the master bed, controlled with a dial on the side.
There is a furnished kitchenette with a sink, a microwave, toaster (no stove), and a mini-fridge. We provide chocolate bars, coffee (Keurig with a pod assortment), creamer, sugar, fruit, juice, milk, and breakfast cereal for a continental breakfast. There is also a dining bar with three tall stools.
We have WiFi, speed is 100 Mb/s. We also have decent cell reception in the studio. The password is "grandfather". We have a flat-screen TV connected to Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and more for watching TV and movies, and Pandora for listening to music. You may also plug in your own devices using our provided HDMI cable or 3.5 mm audio cable. Or enjoy the books on the bookshelf and editions of the "Our State" Magazine provided for your reading pleasure. There are toys and games for children.
There is a bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower with limitless, on-demand hot water. We provide towels and washcloths, shampoo and body gel.
Outdoors is a patio with chairs. There is a yard with a swing set and playhouse for children. Be sure to bring firewood and marshmallows for the large stone fire pit. There also a picnic table for outdoor dining. Expect to see deer and other wildlife.
Because of the abundance of wildlife and because those in the living space above have pet allergies, we do NOT allow pets for any reason.
