Nestled in the charming and popular Carolina Place neighborhood, adjoining the historic Brookwood, Chestnut Heights and Mansion District neighborhoods, this totally renovated studio apartment offers easy access to downtown and area beaches. With a new Smart TV, high speed wifi, brand new queen mattress and box springs and bathroom fixtures we're excited about how our renovations have turned out. All are welcome!
Our airbnb is in a great neighborhood, adjoining beautiful Wallace Park and Burnt Mill Creek with its stately cypress trees and playground, and is just down the street from the Burnt Mill Creek scene, including Port City Java, our local coffee shop, Burnt Mill Billiards and Wine Bar. We're less than 5 minutes from downtown Wilmington, with its historic riverfront, shops, breweries, theaters, restaurants and Farmer's Market. We live just a few blocks away, and find that this area is for us the perfect place to live - close to downtown and easy access to the beaches and UNCW as well.
If you like to run or walk, this is a great area for that as well. All of the neighborhoods interconnect, and all have sidewalks. The Cross City trail is a couple of miles away; it is nearly a 15 mile off-road, multi-use trail that runs from Wade Park, through Halyburton Park and Empie Park to the Heide-Trask Drawbridge at the Intracoastal Waterway. The trail provides bicycle and pedestrian access to numerous recreational, cultural and educational destinations in Wilmington.
