I am a retired professional who enjoys the quiet and relaxing beauty of myTen Acre acreage.The log home was built in 2011. On the backside of the home is a lovely patio with a built in fire pit and has a view of our little creek, trees, and flowers. Mechanical sculptures, foot bridges, boulders, fabricated structures and fountains add to our guests enjoyment.
Ten Acres is located just one-half mile from the local bike trail, 4 miles from the lake, and 4 miles from Mason city. Clear Lake is known for its beautiful lake,the Surf Ballroom, Thursdays on main.Activities vary from a Bikes, Blues and BBQ weekend, church in the park, car shows, craft shows, and flea markets,to a Kite Festival in February.Biking, boating, fishing, or hunting are just a few of the many activities here in north central Iowa. Thursdays on Main brings a large crowd to main-street in Clear Lake for free music, food, classic cars, and mingling with other vacationers. Let’s not forget the famous Surf Ballroom where live concerts are a mainstay. We can shuttle you to and from if you need a “DD”!!10 acres is also in close proximity to a movie theater, shopping and social activities in nearby Mason City. Quaint and diverse restaurants offer dining options or you can choose to “eat in or out on the patio. We have a gas and charcoal grill available on the patio. You may choose to dine alone or with your hosts.
Our visitor space has a separate entrance into our lower level. Two bedrooms - both with king size beds,a full kitchen, large living area and full bathroom with tub/shower will make your stay comfortable and convenient. Guests will also like the fact that there is very little to no traffic in close proximity through the evening hours. We have Netflix and Amazon TV along with local channel viewing for our guests.
