Your mountain adventure awaits at Saltbox, an inviting, eclectic home at Wintergreen Resort in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Combining modern and vintage decor, plus original art, Saltbox was designed to provide escape, inspiration and fun. Nestled at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac drive, with beautiful woods to explore, it's just seconds from the Resort (skiing, tubing, hiking, dining, spa, outdoor movies and more)! Saltbox is the perfect home base for your next getaway, any time of year!

We fell in love with Saltbox the moment we walked in. It is such a unique layout: open and communal, but also cozy and private; retro and modern; whimsical and fun! We want you to feel truly at home and use the space however it works for you. You'll find flexible sleeping options, extra tables and chairs, plus lots of extra supplies and gadgets so you don't have to pack everything you own. Take a look at the amenity list, and if you have any questions about specific items, don't hesitate to reach out!
We’ve made special considerations for our littlest guests: baby gates, anchored TVs, outlet covers, cabinet locks, nightlights, a white noise machine, blackout curtains, step stools for the bathrooms and kitchen, a booster seat with tray, a chalkboard in the kitchen, and a some fun toys downstairs in the family room. Use (or don’t use) whatever makes you feel safe and relaxed.
We love coffee! The kitchen is equipped with a regular drip coffee pot, a one-cup drip coffee maker, a ceramic pour-over, and a french press. Filters provided.
*Kitchen note: The house did not have a full-size oven when we bought it, so we added a countertop convection oven -- the biggest one we could find! It is quite spacious -- you can cook 2 frozen pizzas at once, bake a chicken, roast veggies, etc. -- but it's probably not big enough for a holiday turkey. :)
Both TVs are equipped with FireTV sticks and instructions, so you can enjoy popular streaming services, like Prime Video, Netflix and Disney+.

Saltbox is less than two minutes from year-round Resort amenities, recreation, dining and conveniences. It's only about one minute to The Market, which offers not only gas, but groceries, excellent sandwiches and local craft beer and wine. Hiking for all ages and skill levels is abundant at Wintergreen. We've provided a framed trail map at Saltbox. Also nearby, in the valley, you can make your way down the Brew Ridge Trail, a scenic route dotted with award-winning breweries, distilleries, wineries and cideries. There are activities for every season, on and off the mountain!

I'm the mom in an energetic, creative family that loves to gather with friends, make art, eat great food and find little adventures in every day.
