Life is all about balance. Our little cottage is a place that will remind you about what's important - nature, relationships, exploration, and the sea. This cozy and airy cottage is located in historic Eastport, Maine with access to all Downeast Maine has to offer: the rocky coast, hiking, beachcombing, art, history, fresh seafood (not to mention the best lobster roll in New England), and friendly hospitality.

Spend the day reading and relaxing on one of the two decks; the first-floor deck is spacious, quiet, and surrounded by trees; the upstairs deck is off the kitchen and has a bird's eye view of Passamaquoddy Bay with more than a glimpse of Campobello Island.
Map out the day hiking on the Bold Coast or stay closer to home and enjoy a short walk to the beach to search for sea glass. Take a short walk downtown for a leisurely meal, to explore the local shops and enjoy galleries showcasing Maine artists.
Finish your day preparing a meal in the well-equipped kitchen, dining on the deck, or snuggling in the window encased living room watching the skyscape of colors.
After a good night's sleep you'll awaken to fog horns and the first sunrise in the USA.

The entire house is yours. Since we also use the house throughout the summer and fall, we will mark those things that are no available to guests, i.e. towels, sheets, etc. We have several friends living in the neighborhood so if there are any issues we cannot address from afar, we will do our best to enlist their assistance.

Hi! I'm Cyndi and I just love Eastport, Maine. My husband was born and raised in Eastport and I met him there over the 4th of July years ago. After many years of staying with friends or BnBs, we decided to buy our own little piece of this magical island and build the Little Cottage By the Sea in 2010.
