Cupid’s nest is one of Windy's original 1950's beach shacks, merely 200m from the beach and playground. Restored by the owners to be nostalgic, with recycled furniture and wood stove. It epitomises rustic, sustainable living with an off-grid solar system and amenities such as a gas stove, rain water, heating and electric fridge. Windy Harbour is a rugged, isolated coastline and Cupid's Nest provides an ideal place to retreat from the world, have a digital detox and to reconnect.

The hut has two bedrooms, one featuring a queen size bed and the other, a double bed. It is perfect for that romantic getaway or restful holiday, where the troubles of the modern world can be left behind.
The previous Swedish owners transformed the hut into a scandi hideaway with raised wooden ceilings and lead lights and there are no doors on the bedroom but privacy curtains . We continue to ensure that the hut retains its local character by returning it to the era of our parents, a nostalgic nod to the 1950's. However, we do have mod cons such as a refrigerator, hot running water, gas appliances and a rainwater tank outside the undercover area for drinking purposes. Please note, unless you have Telstra, you will lose reception within an hour's drive to the settlement.

The whole house is available as well the outside entertaining area. Only a storeroom and shed is locked for our personal belongings.

As this is a solar operated house, there is ample solar power to work lights and power points but products such as hair dryers, electric kettles and the like are not permissible. Also, unless you have Telstra you are highly unlikely to get reception from an hour's away from Windy.

This is a quiet family coastal area. It is great for families as it has a park, beach facilities and great fishing spots. In summer, there is an ice-cream van and sometimes a pizza van that comes into the settlement. It pays to stop in Northcliffe on your way down to stock up on food and essentials as there are no shops at all in Windy harbour.
