The surroundings are very calm and quiet and in midst of the vineyards. Parking space is no problem. In Olewig there are a a few wine estates, where you can do a wine tasting. From here you can start excursions to the historical town of Trier with its Roman ruins and the nine UNESCO Cultural Heritage sites of Trier. Closeby you still find a brewery with a beer garden and great beer. You would imagine to live here on the countryside, but no, you are in the middle of Trier. A bus stop is quite close.
