Housed in an old biscuit factory in the heart of Reykjavik, KEX is just steps from all the bars, clubs, and music venues that give this city its legendary reputation. It's also a painless distance from late-night munchies and a mind-boggling array of coffee houses, shops, and tourist attractions.

For those who prefer more privacy and comfort, we offer guesthouse-style single, double, and twin rooms with made-up beds.
The rooms have a nice ambiance and many offer a great view of the ocean and mountains on the other side of the bay.
Showers and toilets are situated near each room.

You'll get all the basic room key and all the answers you need at our reception desk located on the second floor of the building.
Wash your clothes in the laundry room while punching a bag at the gym. Cook your own meal or prepare snacks for the day in the guest kitchen or organize get-togethers in our gastropub with full service from our chefs and waiters.
We also offer an event calendar and a book exchange, in-room lockers, secure luggage storage, and 24hrs access and security.
Not to mention our meeting room, lounge area, a heated outdoor patio, two guest kitchens, and a bike rental.

Baxtur: Freshly-baked mornings
Start the day right with a visit to the BAXTUR breakfast buffet in the Sæmundur dining area. Offering a selection of Icelandic jams and domestic cheese on slices of freshly-baked bread – as well as our special porridge with your choice of toppings.
The mornings at Baxtur with the lovely aroma wafting from the oven remind of the good old days when the building was still a biscuit factory.
Breakfast is served from 7-10:30 am every day. The price for the breakfast is EUR 16, and it is only bookable at the reception upon arrival.
Note that there is a mandatory bed sheets fee of ISK 1100, per person per stay, which is not included in the price.
Raxtur: Haircut in the vault
Formerly a vault, now a stronghold of style. The vintage RAXTUR salon is a good stop if you want to make a good impression for a night on the town. Need a haircut? Trim for your beard?
Take a seat in the old-fashioned barber chair and let our barber freshen up that beard of yours. You might find him in the vault.

KEX Hostel is located in downtown Reykjavík close to the downtown bus terminal and food court Hlemmur. Those with the front side-facing rooms will have a view over the ocean and mountains. A great location close to all of downtown's most popular sightseeing spots such as Hallgrímskirkja church, the seafarer monument, Harpa concert hall, and a little further we have Tjörnin pond, Kolaportið flea market, and the old harbor.
