Quiet, secluded area has occasional wildlife (turkey, deer). The Turkey Creek runs behind the cabin, and there is a very small pond in the front of the cabin that can be fished. There's a kid's "fort" to the west of the main cabin for the kids to enjoy! The fort has a space heater, a loft with a futon, and a TV (no TV service) that can be used for DVD's. The cabin has no TV service or internet service.....thus the beauty of this retreat!! TV in the cabin is for DVD's only.

It's surrounded by cedar trees and a few neighbors but it's pretty private for the most part.

Wife, mother, friend, Realtor since 1996. My husband and I are just starting in the hosting business with our Rustic Cabin Retreat that my husband built. We've enjoyed so much time out there but now our kids are super busy and it's hard to get there to enjoy an evening or weekend. So we thought, why not rent it out and let others enjoy it's magic and ambiance! We hope you love it as much as we do! Some fun facts..... the iron staircase railing was welded by my father inlaw who was a welder for 47 years! My husband has been a builder in the Kearney area since 1981 and built the cabin himself with some "leftover" materials, such as the cabinets are built of leftover car-siding from the walls; the kitchen tops are leftover Brazilian cherry flooring from one of our homes; and some of the stones you see in the fireplace are pulled randomly from the 6 acres and he stuck them in vertically to give it a little extra personality! The fish bench in the kitchen was carved by a talented woman with a chainsaw outside of Estes Park, CO. So fun!
