'Baby Brigadoon' is situated on the lower level of the main house which overlooks the garden. It has a separate entrance and is very private, perfect for couples. The space was renovated in 2016 and has been designed to ensure that you have everything you need for your stay in the Mountains. Our gardens are spread over 2200+ sq metres, with over 1,500 different plant varieties. Guests are welcome to walk through and enjoy!
If you plan to travel up in a group, we also have a guest room (with private bathroom) in the main house that can comfortably accommodate 2 additional people.

Bob & Brigitte's home is located in Leura, New South Wales, Australia.
Leura is a beautiful place to visit due to its position in the National Park and its heritage status. For its size there are lots of things to do so we can honestly say that there is something for everyone. Known as the garden village due to its annual garden festival in October, there are leafy streets and gardens to wander through and one of the best, Everglades (a magnificent attraction which is owned by the National Trust), is a five minute walk from our home. The Blue Mountains are full of amazing views, quiet spots, fantastic food and a variety of experiences, that's why we live here.
Things to do during your stay:
Go shopping in Leura Mall and discover all the unusual shops that you won't find anywhere else.
Try out one of the local bush walks, whether you enjoy a short easy walk or a day hike, you will find it here.
Have a picnic at a local beauty spot like Leura Cascades, Gordon Falls or Wentworth Falls Lake.
Look up a local adventure tour company and try something daring!
Go out for a meal, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner there are lots of great options. We are happy to give recommendations.
Visit our local museums, we have a textile, teapot and toy and railway museum in Leura.
Take a day trip to Jenolan Caves or the Botanic Gardens.
Spend the morning at Scenic World and ride the steepest passenger train in the world.
See some local art by visiting artists in their own studios (check out the artists trail website for details of open studios).
Jump on the local trolley bus tour just down the road and see how much you can fit into one day.
Spend some time at a local farmers, art or craft market and buy some local products.
Spend a day driving the signposted Blue Mountains Trail and stop to see all the sights.
Try some local wines in the Megalong Valley.
Book in at local spa for some pampering, there are lots to choose from in Leura.
Come when it's snowing and sit next to an open fire in a local pub or restaurant.

I’m a freelance French translator and interpreter, and my partner, Brigitte, has retired after many years spent operating a wonderful little traditional toy store in Paris. Between us we have five children and nine grandkids. We enjoy walking, cycling, reading and meeting new people. We have both travelled widely.
