Charming, old farmhouse in the most spectacular part of vestern Norway. The location is extremely idyllic. Surrounded with farmbuildings, sheep, small rivers, the fantastic fjord and amazing view.
Our house is full of soul and history, chick and rustic. The standards are not as new, but with its old charm.
No wifi but very good 4G internet in the area

A nice and big garden aswell as a verandah. Outdoor furnitures included. Some parts of the house is in its original state, with easy construction. Original and steep staircase. Different and charming.

If you choose to stay in my listing you are doing an environmental good choise. I focus highly on using vintage and second hand furnitures. My vision has always been to save the old and authentic and try to buy the least i can of new. The clothing industri is the most dangering to the environment, I therefore use bed linens that they have thrown from the hotel laundry, due to small holes or marks. I sew and fix them, and get to reuse the fantastic fabrics. They are mainly made of egyptian cotton, and with very high standards.
This place is perfect for relaxation and to stress down. You can do mountain hikes, ut.no has hiking maps. Børestein is my personal favourite. Skiing in Jotunheimen, glacier hikes, fishing, bonfire, swimming in the fjord and even restaurant visits in Skjolden. Here we have Skjolden hotell, fantastic and diverse food. During summer there are 2 small café's in Sørheim, Lerum and Sagi kafé. Idyllic and authentic. From Sagi Kafé you can walk up to the waterfall called Feigefossen, Norways 4 tallest free falling waterfall.
Stand up padleboard, fjord safari or bike rental is avalible in Skjolden.
The best features with the house is: you are out in the wild, with total freedom and few people around. A holiday experience to remember. If you are in a need of stressing down, or just enjoying the simple things in life? This is it.
