If your looking to experience the quiet serenity of Nature, we are a 67 acre four season property, nestled hillside, overlooking the stunning views of Pretty River Valley Provincial Park.
The Upper level is exclusively appointed for guest rooms and will comfortably accommodate a party as large as 6. There are 3 rooms: A King with private en-suite, a Queen room and a well-appointed room with 2 double beds. (all can be rented separately)

Our bright and inviting morning breakfast/dining room on the main level, not only offers nature views, we brew fresh coffee, espresso, lattes, plus teas, toast, cereal, fruit and homemade baked goods. Eggs and bacon are also available for a nominal fee of 10.00 by request.
The Pretty River Provincial trail head is a 2 minute drive away, but we also have over 4km of private cut and groomed trails that are available for you to hike or snowshoe. The view at the top lookout is a must see!
Our chlorine free well water hot tub is open all year round.
Our ‘Apres Lounge’ has a cozy stone gas fireplace, foozeball, Prime TV and a fridge that is available for our guests to store their personal food & beverages.

We are an eco friendly environment with a septic system and we use only naturals cleaning products and natural laundry soap.
*Please refrain from spraying or applying perfumes.
*Our eco friendly hot tub has no harsh chemicals added.
*We also have a keyless code entry for your convenience.
*Some guest choose to dine out at one of the many local restaurants; while others bring in takeout and dine in-house. We provide tableware, drinking glasses/stemware etc.
*We also have a guest fridge to accommodate guest’s food/snacks/beverages.
*Rental snowshoes for 10.00 are available. Evening trail snowshoeing by head lamp flashlights is available for the adventurous!
* Experience a 1/2 hr ATV tour of our property trails for 30.00 a trip during Summer and Fall seasons.
*COVID adjustments: If the Queen room is booked, we will close off the Doubles room to ensure a private bath for the Queen guests. However, if a group of 4 friends and family choose to share a 3 piece and 2 piece bathroom, both rooms can be rented simultaneously.
Kitchen: the main kitchen will be available for light prep and warming of food.

We are surrounded by nature and situated on the edge of the Pretty River Provincial park~but only a 15/20 min drive on paved, scenic roads to Collingwood, Blue Mountain, and Wasaga Beach.
Nottawasaga 33/34 turns into the winding scenic Pretty River Rd as you enter the park.
There is very little to no light pollution, so the star gazing is an experience.

My Husband and I are retired and enjoy sharing our nature emmersed experience with others. Because we have travelled rather extensively, we know what we really appreciated experiencing on our own travels...from farm stays, to eco-cabin stays, and small quaint boutique hotels stays: comfy beds, nice sheets, good coffee, friendly hosts and a chance to explore in nature. I have always enjoyed creating serene environments and I like to reclaim, re-purpose and refinish furniture pieces to create an eclectic custom look throughout. I have great visions of Cardinals Roost’s exterior gardens growing and developing in the future to further expand the visual and sensory experience. The possibilities are endless! We invite you to come and hear the silence, and just ‘be’ in Nature. Armand and I look forward to meeting and hosting you!
