Built in 2017, the studio apartment has a private entrance, occupying the lower level of the owners' home with lots of room for two, their dogs, bikes and gear with a well-appointed kitchen, a dining area that seats four, and a living room featuring a beautiful slate feature wall.

When we designed our house, we specifically designed our apartment to be a short-term rental for those with an active lifestyle and/or pets. There is a large mudroom to safely store bikes and gear. There is room for those whose dogs need their crates when they travel (as our young Shepherd still does). The carpets are indoor/outdoor and the floors are waterproof, so no worries!

The studio apartment has a private entrance and occupies the lower level of the owners' home. It is completely separate from the owner's residence. At 600 square feet, there is plenty of room for two as well as their canine companions, bikes and gear.
Outdoors there is a private, covered deck with a view of the woods with a table and two chairs for enjoying morning coffee. Coming fall 2019 will be a bike washing station attached to the deck. Across from the unit is a wooded area for enjoying a quiet walk with your dog as well as a small park area with babbling brook and picnic area.

This is a great place to stay if you enjoy nature but still want to be close enough to stores, restaurants, breweries, etc.

I enjoy meeting my guests and their canine companions but definitely respect their space by only introducing myself if the opportunity arises or if guests specifically would like to introduce themselves as some guests prefer to meet their hosts. I am always available should questions or needs come up.
