River Run Cottage by Third Hill Winery!
Our newly renovated cottage in the Shenandoah Valley is a perfect retreat for couples or small families looking for river views and direct river access for tubing, fishing, and kayaking. We have a deck overlooking the river, front and back porch to take in the views, fire pits and easy access to all that Shenandoah Valley has to offer! Nature abounds, keep an eye out for our resident bald eagles, otters, and deer!

Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations.
Our country chic cottage was recently renovated and decorated using locally sourced antiques and original light fixtures by a local artist. Both of our bedrooms have French doors leading out to a porch. Our scenic road is great for biking along the river!
The cottage is 10 minutes from highway 81, grocery stores, restaurants, Shenvalee golf course, Shenandoah Caverns, New Market Battlefield and wineries, including our Third Hill Winery. Please come say hi!
We are also within 30 minutes drive to Bryce Ski and Golf resort, Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, multiple wineries, breweries, national parks and hiking. Harrisonburg and JMU are 20 minutes away.

River notes: The best time of year for tubing and kayaking behind the house is usually Spring through end of July. After that the river can get a little low and you will need to walk a bit between deeper sections, so wear river shoes! To the left, upriver is a calm section nice for kayaking. There is a deeper section to the right below the river deck and then a small rapid so use use caution! After the rapid is another calm section. If you have two cars, there is a pull out 2 mile down river at the bridge. For an organized tube and kayaking trip with deeper water, we recommend Shenandoah River Outfitters on the South Fork of Shenandoah River near Luray.
WiFi: it’s a little slow in the country but we have it! Streaming and video calls may lag.
