Located in the center of the Nelson 151 trail, enjoy many activities such as visiting local wineries, breweries, cideries and distilleries, most within 10 minutes or less. Property is located approximately 20 minutes from Wintergreen Resort and only about 30 minutes from Charlottesville. Come visit the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive or hike the Appalacian Trail, Humpback Rock or Crabtree Falls. Owners live next door but will respect your privacy.

Guests have access to the entire house as well as areas on the exterior. No trespassing signs are in place to indicate areas that should not be accessed by guests for their safety.

There are a lot of elevation changes on the property. There is a flat space behind the home with a fire pit for your enjoyment on a cold night. There is also a large flat area where you can kick around a soccer ball, play ball, corn hole, etc. There is also a charcoal grill on the back deck. You will need to bring your own charcoal however.
Items provided for your convenience: Paper towel, toilet paper, coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, shampoo, body wash, hand soap, dish soap, sheets, towels, washcloths, dish towels, dishwasher soap, cleaning supplies (for quick clean-ups), laundry soap, fabric softener and other items.

The property is located halfway between Blue Mountain Brewery and Devil’s Backbone off of the Nelson 151 Trail. There are several breweries, wineries, cideries and distilleries nearby, some of which offer live entertainment on certain days. We are located about 10 minutes from Stoney Creek golf course and about 20 minutes from Wintergreen Resort. Charlottesville is within 30 minutes. Large grocery stores are approximately 20 minutes away, but there is a small grocery store less than 10 minutes away for your last minute items, along with several restaurants, gas stations, convenience stores, a Dollar General and a liquor store. You can also access the Appalachian Trail via a trail head nearby.

My husband, Patrick and I moved to Virginia approximately 4 years ago from Fort Myers, Florida after retiring from our respective fire department careers. We have one pet, a Boston Terrier named Rooster (hence the name of the listing). We are both in our late 50's. We enjoy the mountain life and all that this area has to offer.
